Innovative LED Streetlight by Cree and Ningbo Liaoyuan Lighting Offers 98.3 Lumens per Watt

Recently, Cree, Inc. and Ningbo Liaoyuan Lighting Co., organized exhibit called the 2009 LED Lighting Fixture Promotion Conference in Guangzhou, China. Official representatives of government and heads of city street lamp management offices were the main visitors of the conference.
At the conference, Liaoyuan Lighting and Cree jointly demonstrated street lights equipped with the brightest and highly efficient XLamp ? XP-G light-emitting diodes by Cree. Such cooperation took place the first time. The innovative XLamp XP-G LED offers up to 132 lumens per Watt component efficiency, what helped Liaoyuan Lighting to manufacture a 150-Watt street lamp, which efficacy makes 98.3 lumens per Watt.
LED illuminations become more and more popular. Such efficient 150-Watt LED lights are needed in many Chinese cities, which were planned to be the main consumers of the product.
Also, Liaoyuan Lighting presented a 300-Watt street lamp, where Cree XLamp XP-E LEDs are applied. This incredible 300-Watt street lights already illuminate Southern Guangzhou Avenue, a key 10-lane thoroughfare in downtown Guangzhou. The newly developed street lamps by Liaoyuan feature enhanced luminance and uniformity in comparison to the old high-pressure sodium lights. Additionally, advantages of the new lights should be mentioned. They include increased light quality and energy savings, which are by 40% higher than the same characteristic of the conventional high-pressure sodium lights.
