The spread of nature-friendly LED Traffic Signals in Dubai

Ecologically secure traffic signals are installed in Dubai. In order to release energy consumption, Dubai turns to the new traffic control systems with Led (light-Emitting Diode) signals, a senior Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) official said on Friday.

Salah Al Marzooki, Director of the Intelligent Traffic Systems Department at the Traffic and Roads Agency, claimed that these new systems can tore up to 63 per cent of energy in comparison to conventional signals. The decision to move towards Led signals has been made after a successful trial at one of the key junctions on Marrakech Road. “LED signals are already used in Dubai, but according to this plan the will be installed all around the country. The process is still in the state of flux.
